Okay I don’t speak for them because certainly I don’t know the answer.

But, maybe just the slightest possibility, maybe mainstream muslims have strong resentment against Christians treatments. They won’t show it because they prefer to keep it to themselves silently( you know one can’t do anything but to keep the rebellion inside). Its just like an active volcanoes waiting that right condition. The extremist is probably the right condition for them. They sense that silent protest brewing and capitalized on it.

Another possibility is that mainstream muslim probably knew exactly how dangerous these people are. And no way for them to know who are there enemies who dress, talk the same faith, and mingle with them. I maybe wrong but I may be right
Now that I have said my piece. I am now ready to face thumbs down and backlash and become matryr. LOL.
