http://www.TravelsWithSheila.com The Japanese forced the Indonesians to build caves for them during World War II in at least five different areas in North Sulawesi. You can’t enter them all because of bats. (Fine with me!) From there, to Lake Leno (Sulphur Lake). Manado is surrounded by three active volcanos and, one of them, Mount Soputan erupted in 2007.
